Deep End FItness INSTRUCTORS

Want to become more involved in our Deep End Fitness community? We’re always looking to build our Instructor staff with qualified leaders. Our Instructors come from all passions ranging from water enthusiasts, fitness coaches, lifeguards, and former collegiate athletes to name a few. As an Instructor, you’ll be able to:

Requirements:

  • Pass the Instructor screener

  • Must have attended a minimum of 10 DEF sessions

  • DEF Seminar highly recommended, not required

Screener (MUST PASS day of training):

  • 300m swim < 6min

  • 50m underwater crossover

  • 50m 10lb brick tow

  • 5min continuous bobs in a 12-foot deep end

How to Prepare for the Course:

  1. Regularly attend Deep End Fitness classes

  2. Understand and be able to brief the BSAFE & FREE acronyms

  3. Work with a current Instructor for specific preparation help if needed

Our certification program will give you the foundational knowledge of Deep End Fitness and arm you with the skills necessary to implement a variety of training strategies using our F.R.E.E. (Focus, Relaxation, Economy of motion, Efficient breathing) principles to boost mental resilience, reduce stress, and build efficient breathing.


We offer training courses for our introductory Skills Seminar and Instructor Certifications, taught by our DEF Master Instructors.
